On May 7th Montana State added four new players for 2009, and one verbal commitment for 2010. Michel Swita, a seven foot center, transfers from North Idaho College. Swita will join the Cats as a Sophomore. A 6-5 shooting guard from France, named Marco Bougault, joins the squad as well. Two recruits come from right in our backyard, one from Whitefish and another from Billings. Colt Idol, from Whitefish, at 6-3 averaged 20.3 points per game in his senior year. Steven Davis from Billings, sits at 6-7, averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and blocked 29 shots at Billings Skyview. Category: NCAAB Portland StateMarch 16, 2009 12:41 am
So i was trying to let the PSU fans write about the championship game but they didn't, so i guss i will. Montana State put up a hell of a fight making it it great game. It came down to the last shot, Portland State lead 79-77 with seconds left and the Cats had the ball. The ball was inbounded to Bobby Howard who had the ball stripped and wasn't able to take a shot. The Vikings won the Big Sky Championship. Portland State got a 13 seed on Selection Sunday, matching up with the number 4 Xavier. They will play March 20th. Looking forward to an upset! Two great games! First Idaho State took on Portland State but were no match for the quick firing Vikings. Portland State took control early and didnt let up. They ended up winning 61-53. Montana State played Weber State and what a game it was! First the Bobcats took down Montana, then tonight the number 1 Weber State! Weber State suffered their only defeat in conference to Montana State at home and guess what, it happened again! The Bobcats took control of the lead in the first half and held on till the end of the contest. Montana State upset Weber State 70-61!!
The Championship game is tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. Mountain time. Montana State will take on Portland State. They split this year both winning at home. I Cant Wait! I'll be rooting for ya Cats!! Category: NCAAB |
